Miscellaneous Jobs These positions do not readily fit into a particular field of work. They include Student Assistants, State Workers, exam monitors, and positions working for the Executive Office under the direction of the Governor.
Administrative Support Jobs These positions administer, supervise, or perform work of a general clerical and administrative nature including stenography, typing, correspondence, and secretarial work; mail and file work; and the operation of office and communications, microform, peripheral, mail processing, or duplicating equipment.	Business and Administrative Jobs These positions perform work in areas such as personnel, accounting, training, auditing, commercial, financial and business fields, information technology, and other fields related to business, commercial, and administrative support.
Domestic Service Jobs These positions perform duties that result in or contribute to the comfort, convenience, hygiene or safety of the general public or which contribute to the upkeep and care of buildings, facilities or grounds of public property.	Engineering and Scientific Jobs These positions perform work in the areas of the physical and biological sciences or in the field of engineering or architecture.
Executive and Administrative Jobs These positions set broad policies, exercise overall responsibility for execution of the policies, or direct individual departments or special phases of the agency’s operations.	Human Service Jobs These positions provide work in the areas of counseling, education, rehabilitation, and other assistance for the socially disabled or disadvantaged.
Law Enforcement Jobs These positions are entrusted with public safety, security, and protection from destructive forces.	Labor and Trades Jobs These positions perform skilled and semi-skilled trades work as well as general labor activities.
Legal Service Jobs These positions advise on, administer, supervise, or perform work of a legal nature.	Public Safety, Security, & Regulatory Jobs These positions are involved in direct custody and treatment of inmates under the supervision of the Department of Corrections and residents of state facilities for the criminally insane. OR they are involved in investigations or inspections related to violations of federal or state statutes, rules, and regulations.
