  Course Title:  Conducting Performance Reviews
Course Description This course is designed for managers and supervisors and agency human resource staff to provide an overview of the performance management process and the HRMN online performance management tool. The Civil Service Regulation and required forms and procedures, competencies, the performance management cycle, developmental plans and their relationship to competencies, and the difference between performance management and disciplinary process is also covered.
Learning Objectives As a result of this session participants will be able to:
1. Define competencies and objectives and explain their use in the performance management system.
2. Explain the steps in the performance management process.
3. Explain the purpose of development plans (and "Needs Improvement" plans).
4. Understand the automated HRMN Performance Management system and be able to give instructions on how to use it.
Who Should Attend: This workshop is designed for managers, supervisors and HR staff who may have to respond to general questions about the performance management process and requirements.

Participant Information: Civil Service staff will conduct the training sessions.
